NO PRACTICE DURING CHRISTMAS BREAK

The Two Rivers Choir Christmas Concert will be on Tuesday, Dec. 13th at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Admission is free. Choir members should meet in the choir room at 6:00 to warm up. Come celebrate the Christmas season with us!

The Two Rivers Band will be performing their Christmas concert on Thursday, December 15th at 6:30 in the auditorium. We would like to invite everyone to attend.

Congratulations to Hannah Burfield for placing first place at the sectional event that was held in Paris on Nov. 12 and has been notified that she has been selected to compete in the Team Championship in Tennessee on December 11. She will compete during the pregame or halftime of the Titan's game. Team champions will be crowned in each age group. The top four scorers will be determined in the boys’ and girls’ divisions from all first place finishers in each Team Championship's age group. These team champions advance to the National Finals at week 16 or 17 of the regular season in January. A total of 40 participants will attend the National Finals. Way to Go Hannah, Two Rivers is so proud of you and your achievements!

The Arkansas Children's Theatre will present The Gingerbread Man on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Two Rivers High School Auditorium. Show times will be 9:00 AM for the High School and 1:00 PM for the Elementary. Parents and community members are welcome to attend this event. This event is sponsored by the Two Rivers School District and will be free to all who attend.

Congratulations to these awesome kids!!! They competed this morning in the sectional Punt, Pass and kick competition. Hannah's scores are being compared to the other sectionals from around the state and if she places 1st overall she will then compete again in December on the Tennessee Titan football field during a pro game!!! Two Rivers High School 5th-12th building is proud of our Student of the Month Program. Good citizenship displayed by students is important and appreciated by the faculty and administration at Two Rivers High School. Students who exhibit the characteristics of good citizenship such as working well with others with a cooperative attitude, exhibiting good behavior, displaying leadership qualities and serving as role models for their peers will be considered as a Student of the Month.

One student from each grade 5th-12th will be honored each month as a Student of the Month. Students selected will be taken to lunch by their principal on a selected day. These students will also receive a certificate and have their pictures in the local newspaper for being chosen as Student of the Month.

We recently added one additional academic award. The Plainview Superette is sponsoring an academic student of the month. One student will be selected from 5th-8th grades and one student from 9th-12th grades. These students will receive a coupon for a milk shake and a pizza at the Plainview Superette and also get to go eat lunch with the principals. The winners for October are Cameron Furr 12th grade and Carlos Guevara 6th grade.

The 5th-12th Employee of the Month for October was Ms. Sherry Crawford. She did anything and everything needed at the school. She was a true “Gator Fan”.

Two Rivers 5th-12th grade building will begin the after school tutoring program on Monday, September 19, 2016. Tutoring is offered on Monday’s through Thursday’s from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM each day. We encourage any student who thinks they would benefit from the after school tutoring to attend one day a week or four days a week.

There have been some changes to the school calendar. Here is the revised version.

Two Rivers School District is once again pleased to announce parents of Kindergarten through 12th grade students will only need to supply backpacks for their children. All other school supplies will be provided by the district.
