Two Rivers

On the afternoon of Wednesday, April 26 there was a report of a student texting a student in another district of a threat at the Two Rivers campus.  Law enforcement officials responded quickly and the school followed all standard protocols.  Law enforcement officials have taken the student into custody.  The statements made by the student were false as there was no threat or incident.  There is no risk to the safety of Two Rivers students and classes are being carried out as usual.

Two Rivers would like to thank those who came forward with the information that led to the quick response.  we would also like to thank our local law enforcement who go above and beyond when it comes to protecting our gator family.

In closing, at no time was there a substantiated threat to the students and staff of the Two Rivers School District.  Two Rivers thought it was appropriate to get the facts out to you and reassure you of the safety of your children.

Dr. Harry Alvis

Superintendent of the Two Rivers School District
