Two Rivers Awarded Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program Grant for 2025–2026
Two Rivers is pleased to announce that we have once again been awarded the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grant for the 2025–2026 school year! This program will be available to all elementary students in grades K–4.
The FFVP provides students with a variety of free, fresh fruit and vegetable snacks during the school day.
According to a USDA study, students who participate in the FFVP eat more fruits and vegetables than those who do not. Along with these healthy snacks, students will receive bite-sized nutrition lessons designed to encourage them to try new foods, learn about seasonal produce, and build healthy eating habits that last a lifetime.
Since the program began in 2008, FFVP has been supported by public and private partnerships at the state and local level, helping schools introduce students to healthier snacks and better nutrition.
We are excited to continue bringing this valuable program to our elementary students and look forward to another year of healthy, tasty, and educational snacks!
