Two Rivers High School is hosting a Gator Showcase-Reverse Job Fair on
Friday, March 31 at the Two Rivers Gymnasium from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
In April of 2022, Two Rivers High School flipped the tables on the traditional career fair concept and held its first reverse job/career fair. We called this event our Gator Showcase. It proved to be a great opportunity to connect local businesses with potential job candidates which just happen to be our Two Rivers High School Seniors. We had a successful event last spring; therefore, we will be hosting this event once again this spring.
A reverse job/career fair differs from a traditional career fair in that, instead of employers setting up displays of their organizations at booths for students to approach, the students were at the tables marketing themselves to employer’s. “This format makes the students the star of the show.”
We started the process by sending out a save the date flyer to all of the local businesses which is attached in this email. In February, we will send out the student profiles for every senior with a picture of the students and their accomplishments, skills and certificates to all of the local businesses. This allows the businesses to look through the student profiles and decide on who they would like to talk to on the day of the event.
We think this event is a win-win for the local businesses and the Two Rivers High School Seniors, as well as our local community.
